Sithonia, central leg of Chalkidiki's trident-like shape peninsula
Sithonia, located at the heart of the Chalkidiki region, stands as its central finger amidst a distinctive landscape. To the west, it overlooks the captivating beaches of Kassandra, while its eastern view encompasses the majestic Mount Athos, adorned with its historic monasteries. Dominating Sithonia's terrain are two prominent mountains, Itamos and Dragudelis, offering active tourists an exceptional addition to its stunning beaches. These protected natural sites boast an intricate network of cycling and trekking paths, culminating in breathtaking vistas from their summits. The region has significant towns and sizable villages such as Nikiti, Neos Marmaras, Porto Koufo, Sarti, Sykia, Toroni, and Vourvourou. Sithonia's attractions include the ancient city and castle in Agios Athanasios, the iconic windmills in Sikia, and the church in Nikiti. However, it's the beaches that truly steal the spotlight, presenting a diverse array—sandy, rocky, and perfect for diving. Trani Ammouda, Lagomandra, Tristinika, Kalamitsi, Orange (Kavurotripes), Armenistis, and Karidi stand as just a handful of the most sought-after and unmissable coastal spots. Sithonia proudly hosts 13 Blue Flag beaches (e.g. Nikiti -1 km from our villas), an international recognition that signifies exceptional water quality, environmental standards, pristine maintenance, cleanliness, and overall beach conditions. Frequently, Sithonia's beaches find themselves listed among the finest in all of Greece, a testament to the region's unparalleled coastal beauty and care for its natural treasures.
